Lucy came to me wanting something a little bit different for her maternity shoot. There was some traditional gorge seaside imagery on the pinterest board and (although graced with smidgens of sun but predominately rain) we did manage to capture some ethereal goodness on the shore but the true magic came from Lucy trusting me implicitly to run wild with some ways to show her as the iconic bad btch she is. Our day consisted of one look, go and shoot then reconvene at home with a tea and a hot water bottle refresh and it was while peering out of her balcony at the most unbelievable view I spotted this chair in the corner of the room and also the Catholic Church across the road and we leant heavily into the browns for the styling in what I think resembled a fusion of Architectural Digest but if you were also cameoing in a Quentin Tarentino film!
The other look we went for was quite typical if you know me - straight to my Cornish desert location for some western wonderfulness!
What a trooper Lucy was though - absolutely ploughing through with so much ease and enjoyment and never making me feel once like she doubted what we were doing. I think something I'm really starting to learn is that I thrive when people trust me to do what I love doing and what a fun introduction into the world of maternity photos!
